Print Manufacturing Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Rochester, NY (near Elmgrove Road / Gates area) – limited bus line access
Status: Temporary, with potential for long-term opportunity
Pay: $17.50/hr
Schedule: 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Mon – Thu, Sun);
Days off:
Fri & Sat
Training Requirement: 1–2 weeks; must be available to train on one of the following shift: A Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, M‑F
Join a growing and innovative print manufacturing team as a Print Manufacturing Machine Operator on the 2nd shift. This is a hands‑on role supporting a small, cross‑trained team responsible for cutting, finishing, and preparing printed materials for next‑day shipment. You’ll operate entry‑level finishing equipment, assist with quality checks, and gain exposure to multiple areas of the production process.
Key Responsibilities- Operate or assist with machines such as rotary die cutters, guillotines, SSTs, paper cutters, and binders
- Perform finishing tasks including cutting, collating, assembling, and preparing print materials
- Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals
- Conduct quality checks for accuracy, quantity, and appearance
- Support shift leads and team members across the production line
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in overtime or holiday work as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn machine operation (training provided)
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and reliable work ethic
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, walk frequently, and bend occasionally
- Comfortable working in a production or factory environment
