Overview
Electro Mechanical Technician at Keurig Dr Pepper Inc.
Location:
Rochester, NY. Shift: Nights, 6:00pm – 6:00am on a 2-2-3 schedule. This is a full-time, union role with a starting pay of $45.00/hour and a $7,000 sign-on bonus.
- Calibration of microprocessor-based control equipment.
- Repair and installation of general instrumentation and electrical control systems.
- Read and understand relay logic for troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform tests and calibration procedures using test equipment (e.g., CRT terminals, data recorders, multimeter, megger, amprobe).
- Diagnose problems under pressure; troubleshoot and change PLC programming.
- Understand power distribution and wiring practices; install panel boxes, remote control equipment, motors, and lighting circuits.
- Work with minimal supervision; ensure safe work practices.
- Maintain broad mechanical knowledge; diagnose, plan, and perform installation, modification, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, rebuild, and dismantle of various manufacturing and support equipment with focus on control systems, servo drives, HMIs, and PLCs on high-speed packaging lines.
- Perform preventive maintenance and proactive activities to monitor equipment condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair Pneumatic Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLinx, Process Control Instrumentation, 3-phase (480V) circuits, motor starters and controls.
- Coordinate with technicians, production personnel, engineering, management, and other stakeholders to plan maintenance activities.
- Support EMT Lead on driving production goals; provide training and coaching as needed.
- Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance; maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement and drive implementation or resolution.
- Complete or assist with special projects as directed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2 years of maintenance experience in a large production facility.
- 2 years of troubleshooting and programming PLCs.
- 2 years of working knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 lbs as needed.
- Pay starting at $45.00/hour.
- $7,000 Sign-On Bonus.
