Overview
Leads the company's strategic approach to optimizing its +$50 million investment in human capital related to travel and event experiences, including collaboration with the senior executive team to establish policy, align business unit objectives, monitor compliance, negotiate third party execution and manage team of travel and events professionals.
Responsibilities- Strategic Oversight:
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the company’s investment in travel and meeting experiences, managing total company T&E Budget, approximating $50 million. Ensure initiatives align with evolving business needs and drive effective use of resources. - Executive
Collaboration:
Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and senior executives to coordinate key meetings and events. Ensure seamless integration with strategic initiatives and alignment with HR and corporate objectives. - Policy Governance and Implementation:
Develop, establish, and oversee comprehensive Travel, Meeting, and Event policies. Ensure compliance, establish guidelines around budgetary constraints, and expand oversight for effective policy adherence. - Meeting and Travel Management:
Independently manage and organize travel activities for the entire company. Enhance meeting quality by establishing and measuring expectations and success metrics. Push accountability throughout the organization to ensure efficiency. - Cross-Departmental Alignment:
Build strong partnerships with departmental leaders across Business Units, Training, Finance, and Marketing to align strategic programs and enhance organizational effectiveness. - Expense and Performance Reporting:
Oversee development of detailed reports on travel activities, meeting effectiveness, spending, and policy compliance, providing insights to senior management. Use data to drive proactive budgeting decisions and ensure accountable financial management. - Team Leadership and Development:
Lead the Travel, Meeting & Event team, manage departmental processes and programs, and actively support the professional growth and development of team leaders members. - Innovation and Technology Leadership:
Direct the research and development of cutting-edge tools and technologies, including meeting apps and online platforms, and use of AI to remain at the forefront of industry trends and improve processes. - Vendor and Supplier Management:
Spearhead negotiations with travel, meeting, and event suppliers to enhance participant experience and meet budgetary requirements. Lead ongoing analyses for informed supplier and contract management. - Travel Management Company Oversight:
Oversee all activities of the Travel Management Company (TMC), ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and technology innovations to enhance participant experiences and optimize costs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Field - Required
- 10+ years of experience in Travel, Meeting and Events management experience. Preferred Experience with Corporate travel management and travel technologies.

Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
