Relationship driven, Human Resources professional. Fueled by my passion to connect incredible talent with top tier companies, locally and nationally.Operations Manager
JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a leading bathroom and kitchen remodeling company in search of an Operations Manager to join its growing team. This is a newly created role born from expansion and presents a unique opportunity for an experienced operations leader to step into a strategic operations role with a clear runway toward COO-level growth.
This is more than an operations position—it’s a chance to shape the future of a business with a strong history of delivering exceptional results. You’ll work closely with the Owner to optimize day-to-day operations, implement systems and processes that scale, and lead a team with precision and accountability. Ideal candidates thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment and are excited by the opportunity to build from within.
Responsibilities
Operations & Process Optimization:
- Help oversee day-to-day operations. This will primarily focus on scheduling as well as crew & project management, but will heavily overlap with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and fleet.
- Evaluate and upgrade existing tools and systems (e.g., project management software such as Jobber, Service Titan, or Houzz Call Pro as well as implementation of a CRM platform) to support scalability.
- Create and implement workflows that increase efficiency, reduce errors, and align with growth objectives.
- Audit warehouse operations and develop an action plan for ongoing process improvements.
- Develop and execute staffing plans, as well as project plans, based on sales forecasts and organizational needs.
- Drive the company to achieve and surpass profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, train, and mentor department heads and frontline staff, building a high-performance, accountable culture, and deliver the highest degree of customer satisfaction and reduce mistakes. In turn, train each successive level of leadership to coach their own associates.
- Promote collaboration across teams and break down silos through effective communication and coaching.
- Establish performance metrics for safety, quality, service, and cost—and hold teams accountable.
- Identify leadership gaps and implement training programs to elevate team capability and readiness.
- Remain highly visible and actively engage with employees to problem-solve and promote team morale.
- Ensure cross-organization collaboration and associate involvement where appropriate.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Strategic & Project Oversight
- Partner with ownership to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and innovation.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to support a metric-driven, continuous improvement culture.
- Develop a uniform approach to new projects to maximize efficiency, minimize drive time, and reduce repeated mistakes.
- Manage projects and obstacles to minimize the need to be onsite, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion. This includes shifting accountability for smooth operations and timely completion to the associates empowered to deploy those duties.
- Participate in vendor negotiations to support service level standards and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver agreed results in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, cost, and associate satisfaction/development for all areas of responsibility.
- Provide timely, accurate reporting on company operations and financial performance to ownership.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of leadership experience in the construction, home service and/or improvement, or trades industry (with 3-5+ years in operational capacity, viz. scheduling, staffing, etc.)
- Ideal candidate would have experience managing direct reports.
- Hands-on…
