Overview

Leads service strategies process and service performance, critical for Paychex success to yield productivity, NPS and Retention. Works closely with Service Directors, Regional Managers & VPs to develop and successfully execute approved service strategies. Ensures Service projects are completed successfully and align with strategic direction. Directly manages employees who perform service strategy actions related to the detailed project plan to ensure roll‑out benefits the organization.

Directly manages the organization that is responsible to ensure performance is within service expectations and budget. Ensures that services and corresponding processes are documented, measured, and deliver the service promise. Reports on service and process metrics in order to measure impact and drive continued improvements to meet or exceed Service goals.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and executes service strategies, identifying and executing process initiatives to yield productivity, NPS, and retention. This includes communication and change management plans, to support the overall vision and business needs for the Service organization. Leads employees through actions needed for successful execution.
  • Provides leadership, coordination, direction, and oversight to the business service excellence team. Accountable for providing strategic direction and prioritization for activities identified via data and analytics. Develops and executes the roadmap for change.
  • Serves as the contact point between Shared Services & Strategy and key business partners to ensure alignment of business objectives and to resolve business issues and questions as they arise. Provides strategic direction and reviews project and training plans needed for the Service organization.
  • Applies project management and lean six sigma concepts, principles, and practices to service strategy project plan and monitors projects that are being led by the service strategy team and others within the Service organization. Communications status to relevant stakeholders in order to ensure all parties are aware of current and future plans.
  • Serves as the point person for all relevant committees and task forces to ensure that all are coordinated, there is no duplication of effort, and the objectives are consistent with those for the Service organization.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal senior business partners in order to influence outcomes that benefits total strategic direction and continuously improves the Service organization.
  • Recruits, selects, hires, and evaluates performance to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately. Coaches and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs, and other resources to ensure continued technical and professional development.
  • Ensures the creation and maintenance of a services and process library.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline - Preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in relevant experience.
  • Previous experience with management of remote staff.
Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $91,827.27 to $144,300 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the Talent Acquisition & Onboarding position.
