B&G - Head Custodian - EHS

There is an immediate opening for a Head Custodian at Eastridge High School. This is a competitive Civil Service position. This is a 12-month, 8-hour per day position, working 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Job responsibilities are but not limited to the following:

• Supervises and schedules the work of subordinates;
• Conducts inspections of cleaning activities to ensure they are performed according to regulations;
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and orders as needed;
• Maintain District pool cleanliness and chemicals;
• Assists with maintenance and custodial work as necessary. This includes creating and updating work orders in Master Library;
• Ensures basic security of buildings (ex. windows, doors, roof hatches are secure);
• Conducts monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and roof drains;
• Conducts daily routine inspections (ex. takes readings) of areas/equipment such as fan rooms, boilers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and swimming pools (leaks, pumps etc.);
• Reviews exception sheets for accuracy;
• Maintains grounds where applicable including snow removal;
• Responsible for cleaning assigned area daily; coordinates and supervises summer cleaning work; performs yearly asset tracking for building; checks scheduler on daily basis and works with office staff to determine custodial needs for building use activities.
