Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage and oversee the shipment and receipt of products, materials, and supplies. This role involves coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining records of all transactions.

• Plan and implement ground, express, LTL, and international shipments.

• Receive products from vendors and stage them for shipping.

• Coordinate shipping methods and scheduling for final products.

• Coordinate shipping methods to and from subcontractors.

• Store and retrieve manufactured finished goods inventory and coordinate with materials personnel.

• Store and retrieve purchased finished goods inventory and coordinate with materials personnel.

• Create shipping crates specific to customer orders.

• Maintain records of all shipping transactions for cost verification, vendor negotiations, and trend analysis.

• Coordinate inventory transactions with material personnel and assist in reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.

• Work and effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.

• Experience in international shipping.

• Supply management experience including negotiation and procurement of materials.

• General shipping experience.

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly strengths in inventory, purchasing, and shipping functions. Vantage experience is preferred.

• Woodworking skills for crate dimensioning and building.

• Proficiency in shipping and receiving, inventory control, and material handling.

• Forklift operation skills.

• Carpentry skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.

The pay range for this position is $41,600.00/yr.
