DescriptionThe Overnight Janitorial Floater is a key member of our operations team, responsible for providing flexible coverage across a designated geographic area. This position supports janitorial teams by filling in for call‑outs, PTO, or open positions, and assists with special projects, deep cleans, and other as‑needed overnight tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining TEC Services’ high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide janitorial coverage for assigned facilities during employee absences or open shifts.
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfecting.
- Support floor care, carpet cleaning, high dusting, or other specialty project work as assigned.
- Travel between locations within the designated region as needed, ensuring punctual arrival and completion of assignments.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use, care, and storage.
- Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
- Communicate effectively with Service Quality Managers and site supervisors regarding schedule changes, issues, or supply needs.
- Exhibit professionalism, dependability, and strong customer service when representing TEC Services at client locations.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of commercial janitorial or facilities maintenance experience required.
- Flexibility to work overnight hours, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage or travel stipend may apply).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical cleaning tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality standards.
- Experience with floor equipment (auto scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, etc.).
- Familiarity with safety and chemical handling procedures (SDS, PPE, etc.).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
