Litigation Attorney - Personal Injury​/Medical Malpractice

Overview

Lacy Katzen is a medium size law firm serving clients with a broad range of legal needs. We work in practice groups drawing on experience from attorneys on the transactional and litigation side of our practice. We seek to add an experienced Litigation Attorney to our firm to work directly with clients to manage personal injury cases from beginning to end.

Case types include medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, medical and products liability, motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, etc.

• Draft pleadings, conduct discovery, including depositions, engage in motion practice, conduct research, and produce writings necessary to prosecute claims.
• Advise clients, develop litigation strategies, gather evidence to support claims, prepare legal documents, advocate for clients in court and at mediation, and negotiate with insurance carrier and/or defense counsel.
• Provide updates and regularly consult with Supervising Attorneys as commensurate with experience.

• Five (5) years of litigation or related experience.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.

Salary range: $110,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience
