Director of Knowledge Management and Research
Hodgson Russ is seeking a Director of Knowledge Management and Research to design and implement processes that capture, organize, and operationalize internal knowledge resources including legal precedents, briefs, memos, templates, and research materials. The Director will work with practice area leaders and other subject matter experts to inventory, and facilitate use of, the firm’s knowledge resources. This role also manages the firm’s library resources and electronic information, provides and oversees research services to attorneys, and participates in evaluating and piloting legal technology, including emerging AI applications, and directs creation of content for high quality legal education programs.

ResponsibilitiesThe Director will design and implement processes to capture, organize, and operationalize internal knowledge resources. The role will work with practice area leaders and subject matter experts to inventory, facilitate use of, and manage the firm’s library and electronic information. The Director will provide and oversee research services to attorneys and participate in evaluating and piloting legal technology, including emerging AI applications, and directly create content for high‑quality legal education programs.
QualificationsFive plus (5+) years of legal practice OR a master’s degree in library science and five plus (5+) years of law firm or legal department experience required.
