Position SummaryThe Field Service Engineer provides hands‑on technical support to both internal teams and clients. In this role, you’ll install, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, networks, and related technology while working directly with people who rely on your expertise every day. You’ll be trusted to solve problems independently, collaborate with teammates when needed, and build strong relationships with clients—all while helping maintain our technology standards and high level of service.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and resolve common computer hardware and software issues
- Install, upgrade, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network equipment
- Support Microsoft operating systems and desktop applications
- Work directly with clients to resolve technical issues and improve system performance
- Follow company technology standards and quality procedures
- Escalate issues when appropriate and collaborate with internal teams for resolution
- Maintain accurate, real‑time documentation for work orders
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, teammates, and clients
- Identify potential client needs and share leads with the sales team
- Travel to client sites weekly and as needed
- Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM onsite workweek
- Occasional after‑hours or weekend installs (scheduled in advance)
- On‑call rotation as assigned
- Valid driver’s license required
- High school diploma required
- 1–2 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role
- Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn and grow
- A+ Certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of PC and laptop hardware
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems and desktop applications
- Familiarity with antivirus tools, workstation backups, and restores
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, dependable, and able to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
