Contract Duration:
Initial 3-month contract (with possible conversion)

Rate: $25 per hour on 1099

Job Description

  • We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support for end users in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in IT support and a strong background in hardware inventory management, including tracking, deployment, and asset management of IT equipment.
  • This role involves hands-on support, coordination with internal teams, and ensuring IT assets and systems are maintained efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 / Level 2 IT support to end users (on-site and/or remote)
  • Manage and maintain hardware inventory, including laptops, desktops, peripherals, and accessories
  • Track IT assets, maintain accurate inventory records, and support device lifecycle management
  • Assist with setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and replacement of hardware
  • Support user onboarding/offboarding activities
  • Document issues, resolutions, and inventory updates
  • Coordinate with vendors or internal IT teams as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an IT Support / IT Helpdesk role
  • Hands‑on experience with hardware inventory management
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and end‑user support
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or working with virtual reality (VR) headset devices
  • Familiarity with asset management tools or ticketing systems
  • Prior contract or onsite IT support experience
  • Initial 3-month contract
  • On‑site role based in Rochester, New York
