Compensation Range: $60,431.00 – $84,603.00 (per year)
This position supports on‑premise application installations, ensuring security standards, troubleshooting, and collaborating on upgrades. The role includes on‑call rotations as needed and works across multiple technical and functional teams.
Responsibilities- Assists with building, maintaining, monitoring and auditing on‑premise application installations, ensuring security standards, troubleshooting, implementing new solutions and participating in projects to upgrade components or whole systems.
- Follows recommended architecture standards related to on‑premise applications.
- Participates in on‑call rotations as needed.
- Provides technical support for non‑production and production environments, including troubleshooting and remediation of technical issues. Works with third‑party vendors, software companies, and internal stakeholders to fulfill requests.
- Researches and answers technical application, database, server, and security configuration questions; provides on‑call support after hours as defined.
- Monitors environments and collaborates with database administrators, security, and systems administrators to provide performance tuning.
- Utilizes tools to manage code migrations, environment builds, testing, and implementation.
- Applies patches and delivers minor and major application upgrades.
- Participates in team retrospective events, identifies improvement opportunities, logs application administration requests, and delivers assignments that improve system solutions.
- Provides cross‑training and peer support; shares knowledge.
- Estimates and plans future application administration work, updates documentation, and participates in planning for enhancements.
- Works with technical resources and analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications, configure settings, implement and support applications.
- Participates in testing of new applications, integrations, and system upgrades, following best practices and change‑management procedures.
- Contributes to external technical communities to gain knowledge.

- High School diploma and 1 year of related experience required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in higher education or healthcare fields preferred.
- Experience with interface, networking, design, and relational database technologies preferred.
- Experience supporting cloud and on‑premises applications preferred.
- Experience with multi‑tier applications employing application and web servers preferred.
- Experience with project management from planning through implementation preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
- Ability to participate in on‑call rotations required.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and support peers with technology change preferred.
- Proven track record executing multiple work streams and producing consistent results preferred.
- Strong understanding of system/application administration activities preferred.
- Experience with Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL or related database platforms preferred.
- Solid understanding of web server, application server, and database interactions preferred.
- Solid understanding of application infrastructure and architecture preferred.
