* The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
*** Responsibilities:
** Assists with building, maintaining, monitoring and auditing on-premises application installations, including but not limited to, ensuring security standards are applied, troubleshooting, implementing new solutions and participating on projects to upgrade components or whole systems for the department of pharmacy. Follows recommended architecture standards related to on-premises applications. Participates in on-call rotations, as needed.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*** Provides technical support for non-production and production environments, including troubleshooting and remediation of technical issues. Supports a wide range of pharmacy technologies and third-party systems that include but aren’t limited to Eyecon, Emporos POS, RxLinc, Pyxis, Swisslog Automation, Inmar Traysafe, TPMS, Sentry, Parata, Omnicell IVX, Medbank, Frameworks LTC, and Xifin IVR. Some of these systems include robotics or physical devices that may require hands-on maintenance and coordination with field services or vendors.
May work directly with third-party vendors and software companies to resolve complex technical issues. Researches and answers technical questions related to application behavior, database performance, server configurations, and security policies, and provides on-call support after hours as defined by application support requirements. Collaborates with various technical and functional teams to fulfill requests for application support, including system-to-system integrations and security administration.
Monitors both non-production and production environments, working closely with database administrators, security professionals, and systems administrators to tune application, database, server, and security performance. Utilizes appropriate tools to efficiently manage code migrations, environment builds, testing processes, and production implementations. Responsible for applying patches and delivering both minor updates and major application upgrades.
* Participates in regular team retrospective events with a continuous improvement mindset. Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities, logs application administration requests, and delivers upon application administration assignments that improve the system solution. Shares application administration knowledge and provides cross-training and peer support. Participates in estimation and planning of future application administration work plans. Updates application administration documentation and procedures used to maintain applications, databases, servers, and security.
* Works with technical resources and functional/business analysts to understand application, database, server or security requirements and translates into technical or systems specifications for implementation.
