As we continue to scale our operations across the U.S. and near-shore locations, we are building a best-in-class Human Resources team to support growth.
We are growing rapidly and seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will play a key role in building the HR frameworks while partnering with leaders to drive a strong culture and high performance. The ideal candidate will be the go-to HR partner for the site, operating as a hands-on, trusted advisor to both leaders and employees. They will independently drive people initiatives, handle complex employee matters, and create scalable people practices that support well-being, development, and a high-performance culture.
This role will be primarily based in our Rochester, NY location while providing HR support to additional U.S. offices and remote employees as needed. The Human Resources Generalist will report to and work closely with our VP of HR and Operations, based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations for the site
- Manage employee relations and support managers across all levels of the organization
- Onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and employee transitions
- Own and manage employee benefits and related inquiries
- Work closely with the company’s PEO on employment, payroll, and compliance matters
- Own HR policies and maintain the company handbook
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices
- Serve as point of contact for HR systems (HRIS) and additional people-related tools
- Support performance management and employee lifecycle processes
- Drive people-first initiatives that enhance employee experience, well-being, & engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Associate role
- Strong understanding of NY, Federal, and labor laws, workplace safety
- Experience with administering FMLA, NYS Disability, Paid Family Leave, Paid & Sick Leave
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in HRIS, and payroll systems;
Mac experience is preferred - Excellent organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with employees in a call center environment is highly preferred
- SHRM-CP certification is a plus
