Cardiac Sonographer

Overview

Performs medically prescribed diagnostic echo cardiographic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, utilizing various modes and techniques, including but not limited to 2-dimensional, M-Mode, color flow, pulse wave, and continuous wave Doppler, in accordance with accepted protocols.

16 Hours per Week

Monday - Friday

• Able to appropriately determine the clinical question being addressed
• Reviews the patient's chart and history
• Refers to the physician, as needed
• Utilizes imaging protocols established by the American Society of Echocardiography, ICAEL Echo Standards
• Enters patient demographics on the ultrasound machine
• Utilizes proper patient positioning techniques to obtain optimal image
• Other duties as assigned

• A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound is required
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

• Prior Sonographer experience preferred

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
