The Wilmot Cancer Institute, the newest designated National Cancer Institute (NCI) cancer center at the University of Rochester Medical Center, is seeking faculty candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level dedicated to the clinical care and research in the following sub‑specialties:
- Multiple Myeloma
- Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy
- Leukemia & Myelodysplasia
We are recruiting clinical researchers focused on building a robust clinical trial portfolio to support Wilmot Cancer Institute’s patient population and advance scientific and clinical discovery. Candidates will lead an active clinical practice, support clinical trial accruals, and contribute to ongoing clinical and translational research. They will build productive relationships with teams across Wilmot, URMC, and UR Medicine, as well as colleagues in basic science departments, funded investigators, and the clinical trials office.

The institute features an 87‑bed flagship cancer center, 13 outpatient locations, and one of the state’s largest blood and marrow transplant programs. Wilmot continues to be a national leader in research, with significant funding and a strong focus on survivorship and geriatric oncology.
Education/ Certification
- Possess an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Successfully completed an accredited fellowship program and possess ABIM Board certification in an oncology specialty.
- Eligible for licensure in New York and authorized to work in the United States.
- Possess academic credentials and accomplishments for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Applicants should be:
- Board‑certified in an oncology specialty with clinical practice experience.
- Demonstrated record of clinical trial design and execution.
- Strong research portfolio with publications and funded projects.
- Ability to mentor trainees and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
