Medical Surgical​/Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the past 18 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:
Supplemental Program - Highland Hospital and no current placement allowed at Program:
Supplemental Program - Highland Hospital.

Additional Details:

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee:
Must take 12 months off from any University of Rochester Medical Center affiliate as well.

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year recent experience in acute med surg/tele. 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non U.S. candidate. Willing to work charge and will receive training.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years recent experience in acute med surg/tele.

Unit/Facility Details: Must be flexible according to the needs of the facility’s schedule.

Special Requests: Block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed.

Shift & Scheduling: 36 and 48 hours available per week. 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Floating Requirements: Required to float to other units if needed.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 05/25/2026, 07/04/2026, 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
