Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Job Summary

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides mental health/chemical dependence diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and evidence‑based interventions for individuals with mental illness and addiction. Treatment is delivered within a multidisciplinary clinical team supervised by a physician. Leadership and supervisory duties are delegated by the manager, and the role requires modeling Rochester Regional Core Values and adhering to the NASW Social Work Code of Ethics.

• Provides initial and ongoing assessment; delivers evidence‑based clinical interventions to a designated caseload.
• Develops culturally sensitive, individualized treatment plans.
• Offers individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
• Participates as a functional member of the multidisciplinary team coordinating patient care.
• Communicates timely and thoroughly with internal and external care providers to complete assessments and coordinate care.
• Engages in professional supervision and ongoing education to ensure quality care.
• Utilizes computer skills for electronic documentation and completes all required documentation promptly.
• Maintains a caseload and meets productivity requirements set by the Department of Behavioral Health, minimizing failed appointments.
• Maintains current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LCSW‑R) in NYS.
• Plays a role in planning, problem‑solving, and quality improvement activities related to program functioning.
• Pursues personal and professional growth through internal and external supervision, consultation, and continuing education.
• Provides clinical supervision/consultation/instruction to therapist interns and less experienced staff (LMSW or other).
• Assists Program Coordinator/Manager/Supervisors to ensure smooth, effective delivery of care in response to community service requests.
• Credentials for professional billing for clients whose insurers allow it.

• Masters in Social Work.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NYS (LCSW or LCSW‑R).
• Valid NYS driver’s license and participation in the NYS LENS program.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing clinical social work services.

• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Pediatric and/or palliative care experience (Compassion Net).

MS in Social Work (required).

LCSW or LCSW‑R in NYS; valid NYS driver’s license; participation in NYS LENS program.

Sedentary work, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
