Location: City of Rochester
The Clinical Research Nurse works closely with the Principal Investigator to manage clinical studies from study selection through closeout. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and compliance of assigned clinical trials in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced research environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of assigned clinical studies in compliance with study protocols, GCP, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in the informed consent process and coordinate and perform study visits per protocol
- Manage investigational product, study supplies, and equipment
- Assist with monitoring visits, investigator meetings, and query resolution
- Deliver exceptional care and customer service to study participants
- Serve as a knowledgeable clinical resource to the research team
- Ensure study drug accountability, dispensing, and return per protocol
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to manage samples throughout the study, including review of lab manuals
- Ensure Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) are reported to the Principal Investigator, Sponsor, and IRB within required timelines
- Maintain accurate visit logs and Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) data
- Support ongoing Quality Assurance activities, including risk assessments, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-paced environment
- active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical research setting preferred
