RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation schedule

• Every other weekend required

• Must be available for some holidays

• Handle 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Med Surg patients

• Care for 26-bed unit primarily serving CHF patients, acute MIs, post device care (pacemakers) and patients with arrhythmias

• Floating to other units is required

• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions

• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

• Minimum 1 year of experience required

• First time travelers accepted

• Local candidates not accepted - must be more than 75 mile radius

• Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Use Rapid Response/Code teams as needed

• Provide IV therapy and phlebotomy with peripheral line care and management

• Handle respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management

• Follow isolation precautions and maintain professional nursing standards

• Scrub color requirements: any combination of navy and white
