RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation

• Every other weekend coverage required

• Patient ratios: 1:4 days, 1:5 nights and weekends

• Must maintain 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Med Surg patients

• Float to Med Surg units as needed

• 20 hours of orientation provided

• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Travel experience required

• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility

• Required certifications:
Chemo Cert, ACLS, BLS

• EPIC charting proficiency required

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Scrub colors: any combination of navy and white

• Care for adult and geriatric patients on 36-bed hematology/oncology unit

• Handle patients receiving chemotherapy, recovering counts, admitted with chemo side effects

• Manage post PCI, pacemaker, AICD, and post MI patients

• Provide palliative care and end of life support

• Cross-training opportunity in MICU for bone marrow transplant program

The facility features a developing bone marrow transplant program and operates as a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The hospital maintains strong interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
