Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM

• Weekend and holiday coverage required based on unit needs

• On-call and callback responsibilities as needed

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans following department safety protocols

• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services

• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort

• Insert IVs when necessary for contrast studies

• Position patients appropriately, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques

• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC system including proper image identification and PACS transmission

• Maintain clean and safe scanning facility environment

• Must complete formal training in approved School of Radiologic Technology

• ARRT certification required

• New York State licensure required prior to start date

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required

• BLS certification from American Heart Association required

• Injection certification preferred or willingness to complete during orientation

• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred

• Siemens scanner experience required (minimum 6 months)

• Epic experience highly desired (minimum 1 year)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required

• Patient and compassionate disposition essential

• Team player ability to maintain cohesive working environment
