Job Description:

At the direction of a qualified physician, the technologist performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and POL initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

• Performs computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration without requiring constant supervision.
• Adjusts protocols and applies appropriate ionizing radiation for diagnostic CT purposes.
• Uses complex imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, reconstruct, and document image data.
• Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders/department policy, assessing patients for risk factors before administration.
• Communicates命 instructions to patients clearly and concisely, explains procedures, allays fears, and solicits cooperation.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers, applies universal protocol, reviews patient history and physician orders, and documents history in the electronic record.

• Licensed Radiology Technologist in NY State.
• Minimum of one year CT experience.
• Must be certified to perform IV injections for CT exams within 6 months анапх of hire (current BLS CPR certification required).
• Will consider candidates becoming certified to perform IV injections within 6 months, including obtaining or maintaining current BLS CPRයක certification.
