Patient Care Technician 2 – Experienced Techs Needed! Full or Part Time

Rochester, NY – Highland Hospital (261‑bed community teaching hospital, affiliate of the University of Rochester Medical Center)

$19.50/hr – $25.25/hr

Highland Hospital is recruiting experienced Patient Care Technicians (PCT
2) to support nursing units. Candidates must work rotating day/evening/night shifts, including every other weekend and 50% of holidays on a full‑or‑part‑time basis. A 4‑to‑5‑week orientation is required.

• Measure and document patient vital signs; maintain, measure, and document output from drainage systems.
• Bath, toilet, and groom patients.
• Position and turn patients.
• Recognize, document, and report physical, behavioral, and mental changes in patients.
• Re‑stock and maintain unit patient‑care supplies.
• Transport patients and specimens.
• Precept new PCTs.
• Perform EKGs as assigned.

• Same‑Day Surgery

Education: GED or High School Diploma required for all levels.

Experience: At least 1 year of healthcare experience providing direct personal care and interaction with patients in an acute care or long‑term care setting.
