Hours Per Week: Flexible, As Needed

Schedule: Flexible Hours available Monday-Friday, 7a‑4:30p

Summary: As a Mammo Tech, you are expected to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills, and obtain quality positioning and imaging studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills are mandatory for these sensitive procedures. You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations and assist radiologists in performing mammographic procedures. Your role is to obtain images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient undergoing these exams.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in‑patient charts as necessary.
• Performs screening, diagnostic, and/or assists in performing mammographic procedures.
• Monitors image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all image quality is within alignment with the ACR quality standards.
• Monitors equipment for proper performance and functionality.
• Performs daily and periodic Mammography QA activities under the direct supervision of the Mammo QA technologist.

Required Qualifications:

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology (or must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment).
• ARRT-R within six months of employment.
• NYS Injection Certification effective 7/16/2018 within six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.
• ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Physical Requirements: Medium work:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Pay Range: $29.25 - $42.00 per hour
