• Lead tax planning projects for a diverse client base in the real estate sector, delivering up-to-date tax advice and strategic outcomes on complex issues.
• Guide and supervise a team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
• Apply deep knowledge of real estate tax to areas including partnership taxation, REITs, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisitions/dispositions planning and structuring.
• Identify opportunities and risks, communicate findings to clients, and develop clear, intelligent plans to improve clients’ tax activities.
• Build and maintain client relationships, tailoring advice to clients in real estate, hospitality and construction industries.
• Demonstrate strong business development capabilities and the ability to manage budgets, people and projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• Seven to ten years of real estate tax experience in a professional services environment.
• Extensive knowledge of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, and structuring.
• Experience managing budgets, people and projects; ability to prioritize across multiple complex projects.
• Strong writing, research skills in a tax context, and ability to influence and question existing processes.
• Willingness to travel as needed and comfort with a balanced hybrid work environment.

• CPA qualification or active membership in a state bar is preferred.

• Salary range: $120/hr to $150/hr in the US. Salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
