Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Rochester, New York. This position requires someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to manage essential financial and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy.

- Perform account reconciliations to maintain up-to-date and precise financial records.

- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions align with financial statements.

- Handle payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.

- Maintain comprehensive bookkeeping practices to support financial reporting and audits.

- Enter and manage data efficiently to support financial and administrative functions.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and record-keeping.

- Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and provide necessary support.

- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in all bookkeeping activities.

- Prepare financial documentation and reports as needed for management review. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.

- Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

- Strong skills in account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with payroll processing and related systems.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and external contacts.
