Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will assist individuals in preparing accurate and compliant tax returns while providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file individual tax returns accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to ensure efficient and precise processing of tax documents.

- Assist clients in gathering necessary financial information and documentation for tax preparation.

- Analyze financial data to identify potential deductions and credits for maximizing tax benefits.

- Address client inquiries and provide clear explanations regarding tax-related questions.

- Review completed tax returns for accuracy and compliance before submission.

- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure adherence to all requirements.

- Manage electronic filing processes, including E1040 submissions, to meet deadlines.

- Maintain organized records of tax documents and client information for future reference.

- Collaborate with team members to enhance processes and improve client satisfaction. Requirements - Proven experience in individual tax preparation and filing.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software for tax processing.

- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

- Ability to analyze financial data and identify tax-saving opportunities.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills for client interactions and inquiries.

- Familiarity with electronic filing systems, including E1040.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling client information.
