Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Primary Responsibility

The Credit Analyst II is primarily responsible for underwriting routine to complex commercial loan requests in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) areas. This includes analyzing financial information and preparing the credit analyses, ensuring that all loan requests adhere to GRB’s loan policy and/or SBA requirements. Prepare the credit analyses which serves as the basis for approval of all commercial credit relationships.

The Credit Analyst II also assists the Commercial Credit Manager with various projects.

Essential Functions
  • Analyze financial statements of all levels of quality and for a variety of different industries. Identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as primary and secondary repayment sources, as it pertains to a borrower’s and/or corporate guarantor’s historical operating performance, or in the case of new credit being extended, performance on a proforma or projected basis.
  • Work with the Relationship Managers to efficiently prepare credit analyses to process new loan requests and annual reviews. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing information on affiliated debt, identifying major trends, and establishing risks and mitigants that support the risk rating.
  • Evaluate all facets of a guarantor’s personal resources through analyzing personal tax returns, personal financial statements and credit reports, including understanding the implications of transaction solely reported for tax purposes.
  • Responsible for completing assigned reviews, including annual, vendor and MBDs.
  • Utilize the nCino platform and all functions at with a strong level of understanding, primarily generating and preparing the appropriate credit memo.
  • Review the loan documentation file, as necessary, to ensure that met the conditions of the previous approval.
  • Review the loan policy to ensure that loans meet the bank's policy requirements.
  • Review the Small Business Administration’s SOP to ensure that loans meet the SBA’s policy requirements and discuss possible deal structure alternatives.
  • Assists the Commercial Credit Manager with various projects. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, setting up the weekly Loan Committee meetings and notifying the appropriate committee members using the Board Portal; proofread all analyses prior to distribution; set up Manager and Board Loan Committee agendas and ensure Committee Minutes are taken.
  • Assist in identifying improvements to the credit process.
  • Meet Credit Management's expectations in performance, productivity and quality standards.
  • Active participation in demonstrating the behaviors outlined in the GRB Experience.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Commercial Credit Manager.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a business-related discipline and a minimum of two years of credit analysis in commercial banking or commensurate experience in public accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of nCino or other underwriting software required.
