Hours: 12pm-830pm EST Mon-Thurs;
Fridays are 9-6 with rotations on night shift, expect to work one Friday night per month.

Position Overview

Our client, a Global Financial Services company is seeking a detail oriented Credit Risk Specialist.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Risk Specialist to join our team. This role is vital in mitigating credit risk exposure for incoming clients utilizing our client's services. You will provide advanced client service and technical product support, ensuring timely problem resolution while implementing sound financial decisions for both clients and the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct credit reviews for new clients by analyzing credit reports (Equifax, Experian), financial trade data, and public records to assess risk.
• Approve, deny, or recommend credit authorizations, payments, or terminations for amounts up to $100,000; prepare recommendations for management on higher amounts.
• Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent clients, escalating cases as necessary to supervisors and fraud teams.
• Review incoming clients to identify matches with previously terminated clients for non-payment, and remove clients from services as needed.
• Resolve client product and service issues, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial transactions.
• Diffuse difficult client concerns and collaborate with management to implement optimal solutions.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, policy updates, and industry developments.
• Participate in training sessions and product-related projects to maintain expertise.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• Customer service experience with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, computer-driven environment with excellent multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong time management abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Background in financial accounting or financial management.
