Northwest Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an innovative defense technology client developing secure tactical communication systems used by military personnel and first responders worldwide.

We are seeking a FPGA / ASIC Verification Engineer to help verify next-generation FPGA solutions powering advanced radio communication platforms. This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical embedded systems, modern verification frameworks, and complex communications technology in a highly collaborative engineering environment.

Flexible schedules include 9/80 (every other Friday off) or standard 5/8 workweeks

• Perform FPGA design verification and validation for embedded communication systems
• Develop coverage-driven verification plans from planning through closure
• Create self-checking test benches using System Verilog within UVM frameworks
• Develop agents, sequences, cover groups, predictors, and scoreboards
• Write randomized and directed tests to achieve functional coverage goals
• Analyze system requirements and develop verification test plans
• Work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams
• Support design reviews and technical briefings

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of FPGA/ASIC verification experience (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience with System Verilog verification environments
• Familiarity with UVM or OVM methodologies
• Experience verifying embedded FPGA-based systems
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

• Debugging FPGA firmware and hardware issues
• Ethernet packet processing or communications protocols
• Embedded cryptographic algorithms or secure communications systems
• Mentor Graphics verification tools
• FPGA/ASIC RTL design exposure
• Programming with C++, Java, or other object-oriented languages
• Scripting using Python, Bash, Perl, or Tcl
• Linux development environments
• Interfaces such as Ethernet, AXI, SPI

• Base Salary: $110,000 – $140,000
