Aerospace Quality Engineer

Beyond Talent Edge is recruiting for a Direct Hire Aerospace Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and customers to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with rigorous aerospace industry standards.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and government regulations
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supplier quality teams to reduce and eliminate production defects
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation by analyzing data and identifying trends
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes for compliance
• Determine conformance to specifications and assist in disposition of nonconforming material
• Interface directly with customers to resolve issues and clarify requirements
• Approve manufacturing routes prior to release and after changes
• Complete ERP transactions accurately and on time
• Lead root cause analysis efforts using tools such as DMAIC, 8D, and 5 Why
• Serve as a subject matter expert on new product development projects
• Support internal and external audits

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related field (Associate degree minimum required)
• Minimum 1 year of Quality Engineering experience
• Experience with FAI, RCCA, SPC, PPAP, APQP preferred
• Understanding of AS9100 preferred
• Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection practices
• Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies preferred
• Passion for quality, problem-solving, process improvement, and customer satisfaction
• $70,000 – $95,000 annually
