The role is based in Rochester, NY (onsite).

Where You'll Make a Difference

* Leading engineering projects through investigation, scope, design, and implementation phases to provide safety and capacity improvements.

* Providing support to engineers in executing plant trials and production/maintenance troubleshooting.

* Comply with all company policies including, but not limited to:
Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP-HARPC

* Adhere to all quality systems including ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS and NSF Dietary Supplements with an understanding of IFF Corporate Quality policies and procedures.

* Ability to work safely and comply with all corporate/site EHS guidelines and policies

* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the Spring and Summer semester of 2026 (will also consider Summer-only 2026).

What Makes You the Right Fit

* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related disciplines.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

* Ability to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environment.

* Basic understanding of microbiological concepts and assays.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).

* Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

* Problem solving and critical thinking

* Data analysis and visualization

* Project leadership

* Process Hazard Analysis and Process Safety Management

* Communicating effectively and interacting with people of different background

* 3.0 GPA or Higher
