Location: City of Rochester

We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Engineer to join a technology-focused manufacturing team that develops precision measurement instruments. The ideal candidate will champion quality excellence across design, production, testing, and customer satisfaction while helping to maintain and improve our Quality Management System in alignment with ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and related standards.
  • Lead quality assurance activities spanning product design, manufacturing, and post-production phases.
  • Establish and track quality metrics and KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA for non-conformances.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, inspection plans, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, supply chain, and service teams to resolve quality issues and support product changes.
  • Train personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Interface with customers on quality-related topics and support timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering (or related field).
  • 4+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or test-instrumentation environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and QMS best practices.
  • Proven experience performing root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with quality tools, inspection/testing practices, and Microsoft Office; ERP experience (e.g., SAP) preferred.
