B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management.

We are currently seeking a resourceful, self‑motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide high‑level engineering services for a broad range of clientele. Applications for this position are primarily sought for Pittsburgh, PA;
Camp Hill, PA;
Baltimore, MD and Annapolis, MD, but are also being accepted for B&L’s other office locations in New York. The position offers excellent career growth and advancement potential for the selected individual.

Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10–15+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects.
  • Acute analytical skills and the capability to design and manage small to large projects.
  • Comprehensive technical background across all facets of electrical engineering related to building and power distribution systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of IEEE, NFPA, state building codes and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Desired soft skills include interfacing with internal and external clients, mentoring younger staff, and assistance with proposal development.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NY, PA or MD (or eligibility to obtain) is desired.
  • Additional industry certifications, including Certified Energy Manager or LEED AP, are considered a plus.

Estimated Pay Range

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Electrical Controls Engineer Internship/Co‑op

This internship opportunity provides students with hands‑on experience in electrical controls design and project management under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves assisting in the development of control system schematics, programming PLC logic, and collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams to meet client objectives.
