Position Overview

This position will design and implement appropriate technical services to ensure that client and project management needs are met. It includes performing field and office tasks as well as providing project management support for traditional assessment and remediation projects.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the environmental consulting industry with demonstrated progression in technical site investigation, remediation, and task management.
  • Proficient in designing field programs and managing projects and associated field activities – scheduling, coordination of tasks, budgeting, subcontractor negotiating and management.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and managing the field implementation of common remedial technologies/approaches designed by Senior/Principal level professionals and supporting them with conceptual and detailed remedial design work.
  • Demonstrated task and project management skills.
  • Intermediate data evaluation and analytical skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with common technical protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to support the technical growth of staff level professionals through direct hands‑on interactions.
Essential Duties
  • Field Coordination and Management
    • Set up work plans and protocols, supervise field activities, coordinate field personnel and related activities to implement technically sound project plans.
    • Implement field activities as needed.
  • Technical Data Review and Report Preparation
    • Coordinate the collection and review of project data, including the reduction of field data to evaluate and determine future client needs and project requirements.
    • Interpret data, develop, and finalize a report for the Project Manager’s review that documents findings and remediation recommendations.
  • Project Management
    • Ensure that individual task schedules, budgets, and client invoicing are monitored and reviewed in compliance with company standards and client requirements to complete project work.
  • Staff Mentoring and Training
    • Participate in the development of junior staff and work with senior management to grow as a consultant and leader of the firm.
Physical Demands / Work Environment Conditions

This position works in the field as well as in the office. In the field, the candidate will work independently or lead a larger team at exterior project sites (e.g., industrial/brownfield facilities, monitoring wells, treatment systems, construction projects) to perform sample collection, record operational/meter parameters, and oversee subcontractors such as drillers, heavy equipment operators, and truckers. These activities may require traveling to different sites, moving around outdoors in various terrains, and working in adverse weather conditions or irregular hours.

The work involves using hand‑held monitoring instruments and tools, and performing water sampling. It requires the ability to lift, carry, stand, walk, reach, bend, squat, kneel, and twist. Office work is primarily stationary, involving a computer and keyboard/mouse with repetitive hand movements.

Salary and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $67,500 - $85,000. This range is based on good faith estimates and may vary based on experience, market conditions, training, certifications, and internal equity. The position is eligible for performance bonuses based on individual performance and firm profitability.
