, a respected and growing architecture and engineering firm with a strong track record in transportation projects, is seeking an Electrical Bridge Engineer to join their Rochester, NY team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of impactful infrastructure projects while mentoring junior staff and advancing your career in bridge engineering.
- Lead the preparation of design calculations, plans, and specifications for bridge and structural components
- Oversee construction cost estimates and quality assurance reviews
- Conduct field visits to gather data, evaluate site conditions, and resolve construction challenges
- Review construction submittals and provide technical guidance during project execution
- Coach and support junior engineers in design methods, documentation, and professional development
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver successful transportation projects
- Must-Haves — Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5–10 years of progressive bridge design experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Strong technical skills with engineering software and design tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within New York State as needed
- Experience leading project teams or managing client relationships
- Familiarity with NYSDOT standards and procedures
- Field inspection experience including structural assessments and construction support
