This newly created role is designed for a hands‑on leader who can bridge engineering, manufacturing, and operational execution, ensuring products move efficiently from design through production while meeting demanding quality, performance, and delivery expectations. The role carries significant visibility and influence, partnering directly with the President to scale processes, improve execution, and support continued growth.

Operations Leadership
- Lead day‑to‑day operational execution across manufacturing, supply chain, and production planning.
- Establish and improve operational processes to support quality, efficiency, cost, and delivery.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to align operational priorities with business objectives.
- Provide leadership and coordination across engineering functions, ensuring designs are manufacturable, scalable, and aligned with operational capabilities.
- Act as the key interface between engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
- Support product development efforts by ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
- Prioritize engineering resources and initiatives based on operational and customer needs.
- Work closely with quality, supply chain, and program management to ensure customer and project requirements are met.
- Support troubleshooting of complex technical or production challenges.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Identify opportunities to standardize workflows, improve documentation, and strengthen operational rigor.
- Drive improvements in throughput, yield, quality, and on‑time delivery.
- Support capacity planning and long‑term operational readiness.
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing operations and engineering functions in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Physics, Applied Sciences or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering workflows, and product realization.
- Proven ability to work hands‑on while also thinking strategically.
- Experience collaborating closely with senior leadership.
- Strong problem‑solving, prioritization, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and operational teams.
- Background in scientific instrumentation, imaging, electronics, optics, or advanced manufacturing.
- Experience supporting custom or low‑to‑medium volume, high‑complexity products.
- Exposure to regulated, defense, energy, or research‑driven environments.
- Formal engineering education or technical degree.
