Chemical Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer job with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering to be considered. The role will commission process systems as part of a startup team at client locations throughout the U.S. and will also be responsible for providing ongoing client support at factory sites or via remote connection.
Salary Range: $100/year to $130/year; the salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Chemical Process EngineerJob Responsibilities Include
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform calculations (heat loss, pressure drop, etc.).
- Develop mass and energy balances.
- Perform process system timing analysis.
- Prepare utility consumption estimates.
- Size and specify process equipment.
- Prepare equipment Request for Quotations (RFQs).
- Develop detailed process equipment schematics and assembly drawings.
- Prepare process system installation scope of work documents.
- Participate in process control system software development.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
- Minimum Five years’ related experience.
- Experience with in the food, beverage, dairy or pharmaceutical industries.
- AutoCAD drawing experience is required.
