Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer will work with the production team and other team members to produce manufacturing drawings. The individual will be responsible for mechanical designs and designs for manufacturability. Plan and create multi-level bill of materials and work instructions based on the estimates and the processes involved.

• Produce drawings based on operational guidelines
• Plan, organize and prioritize tasks and resources
• Design fixtures, as required, to reduce non‑value added time and maximize machining
• Prepare manufacturing cost estimates based on established costing procedures
• Calculate pricing and issue quotes to customers
• Highlight manufacturing concerns and identify them within quotations
• Manage new product development from design to manufacturing
• Interact with customers concerning operational and technical matters

• Mechanical Engineering degree
• Minimum three‑year designing experience in CAD systems
• Complete understanding of drafting standards, geometric tolerances and interpretation of various standards
• Understanding of process control, capabilities and various manufacturing methods
• Knowledge of CNC machine shop practices, processes, tooling and theory of machining (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and passport (occasional international travel required)

This job operates in a production office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 based on experience
