Job Title:

Electrical Designer

Facilities Engineering and Design service business - you will be working on electrical designs and many times with a team of mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and fire protection engineers to develop construction drawings for a large variety of clients and project types.

Coordinate with Architectural firms and other engineering disciplines as needed to integrate electrical systems into buildings, roadways, site developments.

A MIXED portfolio to design and draw power, fire alarm, lighting, telecom, and security plans for commercial, institutional, higher education, governmental, and retail buildings using AutoCAD and REVIT software.

Complete analyses of electrical distribution systems, electrical load calculations, photometric calculations for lighting systems, and detailing of building specialty systems.

Perform building code reviews and energy code compliance calculations.

Conduct site surveys and construction observations consisting of taking photos and measurements, assessing electrical equipment, and reviewing electrical construction for compliance with contract documents.

• Common knowledge of power systems
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of tools.

Intermediate Level

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.

The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $/yr. Competitive salary, profit sharing, flexible hybrid structure, health care: medical, dental, vision, retirement savings opportunities, tuition reimbursement.
