Base pay range$80,000.00/yr - $82,000.00/yr
Eastman Kodak Company is looking for a Product & Process Engineer to join our Wide Roll Film Manufacturing onsite in Rochester, New York.
Key Responsibilities- Product assessment and improvement of both physical quality and performance opportunities (yield improvements, waste reductions, etc.)
- Product development and accreditation of new business opportunities or features
- Become process and equipment expert in specific area(s) of Polyester Base Manufacturing
- Provide technical support for operations, EHS, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot process problems to identify root cause, provide recommendations, and implement preventive measures using Six Sigma methodology as applicable
- Work closely with maintenance and operations staff to identify and develop equipment reliability improvements
- Understand environmental, health, and safety regulations and apply to product development and equipment upgrades. Participate in process safety reviews
- Participate on multidisciplinary teams to achieve divisional goals
- Ability to interact with teams that include operators, mechanics, chemists, management and other engineers
- Willingness to learn and to work hands on as needed
- Adaptable to changing conditions and priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and in team environments
- Experience with Design of Experiment tools and statistical methods
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and root – cause analysis skills
- Willingness to learn
- Focus on safe work practices and EHS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
