YourKey Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of drawings, reports, and structural calculations for bridges and other transportation infrastructure
- Support the team in developing project quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Assist with fieldwork or site inspections as required by project needs
- Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials
- Provide support in conducting bridge load rating assessments
- Use advanced structural analysis and design software
- Perform engineering duties on projects of various complexity as directed by a senior engineer/designer
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation
- Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team
- Experience in Open Bridge Modeler, Microstation and/or AutoCAD is preferred
- Excellent organization, project management and communication skills both written and verbal along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team
- Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various elements
- Some working knowledge of codes, legal and design requirements would be preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
- Engineer in Training (EIT) designation preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience. Relevant co‑op/internship experience preferred
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
