Elementary Teachers Rochester Academy Charter Schools

Rochester Academy Elementary Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking an elementary teacher
. This is a full-time contract position with an immediate start.

Ideal candidates will possess New York State certification. Candidates with out-of-state certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education or have completed a teacher certification program.

• Teach all core area courses for a class of up to 25 students (generally 18-22)
• Work collaboratively in grade level and department teams
• Support the whole child through relationships with the student and the family
• Show passion for teaching and love of students
• Show understanding and care for students of all backgrounds and levels of need, and sharing an equity mindset

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the city of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color. We are a college preparatory school and use data to determine how best to foster student growth. RACS seeks to prepare all graduates for active citizenship.
