Job Summary
Work directly with academic departments, academic advisors, students and parents regarding student records and matters related to enrollment, academic standing, test/transfer credit and academic transcript request/delivery. Collaborate with faculty and staff members regarding changes and/or updates to student records. Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries concerning University policies, procedures and the Student Information System.

Job Responsibilities- Provide excellent services to students, parents, faculty/staff members and others with regard to a wide range of student record and enrollment matters.
- Respond as requested (in person, via email or telephone) to all university constituents and external partners with timely and accurate information.
- Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of all functionality of the People Soft Campus Solutions system, CLAWS, OnBase and all other related student administrative systems.
- Efficiently and accurately process documentation (thousands of transactions annually) and update student records: student enrollment, demographic data, transcript requests, late withdrawals, program/plan changes, grade exclusions grade changes, suspensions, suspension waivers, leave of absence and institute withdrawal forms, etc. on behalf of faculty/staff, students and alumni.
- Assist in training University partners how to effectively utilize various aspects of the Student Information System (SIS) to inform their work and affect departmental and university workflows in a positive manner.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge and the ability to interpret all applicable university policies and procedures, FERPA and federal guidelines protecting academic records. Responsible for the integrity and security of academic records.
- Exhibit the ability to research questions pertaining to student and alumni records using the student record system, microfiche and historic permanent record cards.
- Partner with administrative leads to test new functionality for People Soft as needed.
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers at the Registrar's Office service desk.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as requested.
- High School diploma
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with internet applications and MS Office
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills; strong customer service orientation; as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Must work independently with minimal supervision and exercise professional judgment in carrying out all assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize work and a strong commitment to teamwork are key.
- Must be able to build and maintain key relationships with a wide-rage of academic and/or other student service departments.
- Preference will be given to individuals who possess a working knowledge of sign language, or who have a willingness to learn.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
AAS degree or some college preferred, as well as one to two years related experience.
