Nazareth University is seeking an experienced and dedicated Adjunct Instructor to join our Psychology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Introductory Psychology and possibly other undergraduate courses as needed, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and upholding the mission and values of the University.
Essential Functions- Develop and teach assigned courses in accordance with departmental curriculum guidelines.
- Utilize diverse instructional methods and technologies to engage, inspire, and challenge students.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Provide regular feedback and support to students, both in class and during scheduled office hours.
- Collaborate with colleagues and department leadership on course design, assessment methods, and program initiatives.
- Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in the relevant discipline.
- Master's degree (or higher) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Previous teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.
- PhD in psychology preferred.
- Familiarity with LMS / Moodle.
