The Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Liberal Arts at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for a full‑time Lecturer position in Anthropological Archaeology to begin in August 2026.

Full‑time employment.
- Teach introductory and advanced courses in archaeology, including lecture, discussion, and laboratory components.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
- Contribute to departmental, college, and university service activities.
- Develop interdisciplinary, project‑based curricula and collaborate with faculty.
- Engage in scholarship, professional development, and student‑centered teaching.
- Ph.D. in Anthropology (archaeology) or related field, completed before 12 August 2026.
- College‑level teaching experience in archaeology (adjunct or TA experience acceptable).
- Commitment to student success and mentoring.
- Interest in developing interdisciplinary, project‑based courses.
- Geographic expertise in Eastern Woodlands or Northeast strongly desired.
- Experience teaching higher‑level topics such as gender, health, urban societies, bioarchaeology, technology, or contemporary issues.
