- Design and implement student programs and volunteer activities for the School of Arts and Sciences, Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences undergraduates.
- Collaborate with Advancement and campus partners to execute class‑specific and campus‑wide events, advise two Class Councils, manage the Student Alumni Ambassador program, and promote Rochester Traditions.
- Recruit, interview, orient, and train new volunteers; oversee volunteer placement.
- Support SAS/Hajim undergraduate Class Council system by advising two of the four Class Councils.
- Assist each Council with planning, marketing, and hosting student programs (average 2–4 events per semester), and collaborate on navigation of campus policies and resources.
- Coordinate regular communication, meetings, program goals, activity monitoring, and marketing and staffing plans. Monitor class gift campaigns and support peer solicitation efforts.
- Design and coordinate class events for Meliora Weekend and other reunion‑related programs.
- Recruit, manage, and cultivate alumni volunteers through meetings and conversations with Advancement partners.
- Ensure alumni remain connected through both reunion and non‑reunion years.
- Facilitate communications, stewardship, leadership development, and training for volunteers; support class outreach efforts, including regional events, communication campaigns, and social media.
- Lead the Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA) committee, coordinating communications, meetings, program goals, and marketing and staffing plans.
- Orchestrate orientation and training of Staff Alumni Ambassadors, aligning with SAS/Hajim program expectations and engagement structures.
- Organize and execute Rochester Traditions programs during the fall semester to engage undergraduates and strengthen alumni ties.
- Develop and implement marketing materials to increase event participation and reinforce the Rochester Traditions identity.
- Collaborate with school and unit Advancement partners to enhance their student programming and communications.
- Staff Rochester Traditions and Class Council events in partnership with other Class Council advisers.
- Represent the Office of Alumni Relations and Constituent Engagement on campus committees, including the Sophomore Committee and at events such as Meliora Weekend.
- Maintain campus presence and meet with current undergraduates for volunteer recruitment and philanthropy messaging.
- Conduct national alumni outreach, volunteer recruitment, and donor discovery, with a minimum of 50 purposeful in‑person or virtual meetings each fiscal year.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop, review, and update marketing materials, web pages, emails, print collateral, and other communications.
- Assist in executing a social media strategy to engage current undergraduates and promote office programs and volunteer opportunities.
- Contribute to operating plans, attendance and engagement statistics reports, and analysis of Class Council, Rochester Traditions, and Student Alumni Ambassador performance.
- Engage in continuous professional development, including training on Advancement protocols, prospect management system, and advanced software applications.
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience (required). Equivalent combination of education and experience also acceptable.
- Experience with event planning or volunteer management.
- Ability to motivate, work with, and lead volunteers.
- Experience with collegiate events.
- Outstanding communication skills, including direct interpersonal skills.
