We are seeking a Hematologist to join our growing team at Rochester General Hospital, our flagship tertiary care center. Whether you are dual-boarded in Hematology/Oncology or fellowship-trained and Hematology-boarded only, this role offers an opportunity to focus primarily on Classical (Benign) Hematology while supporting the continuum of Malignant Hematology care.

Youll care for patients across a full spectrum of hematologic conditionsfrom leukemias and lymphomas to clotting disorders and hemophiliabalancing inpatient and outpatient work (approximately 75% outpatient / 25% inpatient) to support continuity and meaningful patient relationships.

The Work Youll Do

  • Diagnose, manage, and treat hematologic disorders including leukemia, lymphoma, anemia, hemoglobinopathies, hemophilia, thrombophilia, and other classical hematology conditions.
  • Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and blood transfusions when clinically indicated.
  • Develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients needs.
  • Partner with colleagues across specialties

    Oncology, Pathology, Radiology, and moreto ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term management.
  • Engage in system wide initiatives to improve care quality, enhance access, and expand program reach.
